Free Gifts

The Free Gifts feature allows you to increase your Average Order Value (AOV) by offering customers rewards based on their cart contents. These offers are displayed directly within the Cart Drawer as an interactive slider.

1. Setting Up Offer Items

You can create multiple gift rules. Each rule (Offer Item) defines what a customer needs to do and what they get in return.

A. Minimum Requirements (Triggers)

Choose how the gift is triggered:

  • Minimum quantity of items: The offer activates when a specific number of eligible items are added to the cart.

  • Minimum purchase amount: The offer activates when the total value of eligible items reaches a specific currency threshold.

B. Eligibility (Customer Buy)

Define which products qualify for the offer:

  • Specific Products: Select individual items that must be in the cart.

  • Specific Collections: Apply the rule to any product within a chosen collection.

C. The Reward (Customer Gets)

  • Products: Choose the list of products that will be offered as free gifts. If multiple products are selected, they will appear in the slider for the customer to choose from.


2. UI & Interaction Settings

Customize the text and buttons to match your brand's voice.

  • Choose Variant Text: The text shown when a gift has multiple options like size or color (e.g., "Select your size").

  • Add Item to Cart Text: The Call-to-Action button label (e.g., "Claim Gift" or "Add to Cart").


3. Slider Configuration

If you offer multiple gift options, they will be displayed in a carousel. Use these settings to control the behavior:

Enables/disables left and right arrows for manual browsing.

Autoplay

When enabled, the slider will automatically cycle through available gifts.

Speed

Sets the duration (in seconds) between transitions when Autoplay is on.

Loop

When enabled, the slider will return to the first item after the last one.

4. How it Works (Logic Flow)

  1. Detection: The app monitors the Orbit Cart Drawer.

  2. Validation: It checks if the items in the cart match your "Specific Products/Collections" and meet the "Minimum Quantity/Amount."

  3. Display: If conditions are met, the Free Gift slider appears.

  4. Claim: The customer selects their preferred variant (if applicable) and adds the gift to their cart.

Pro Tip: Use "Minimum purchase amount" for holiday sales to encourage customers to spend just a little more to unlock a premium gift!
